on march 29th, after years of looming threats, which were never quite taken with legitimacy, the city's oldest french restaurant will be closing its doors to make way for an atrocious row of luxury condos. i'm not quite ready to talk about it, but what i can say is that it's time to roll up your sleeves and enjoy your last filthy martinis with a side of peppercorn sauce. la's losing an institution.
